I'm obviously a noob so I'll ask a noob question....

In order to get all of the quests done (with the nice items and exp) do you have to have all of the appropriate NPC's join your party?

No, and that's all I am saying, lol. Na you have a choice from some different ones that you can choose different ones, etc.....

I meant different chars will give you some different quests....

Most NPC's have their own little sidequests which are worth some XP and add an interesting flavor to the storyline. The only one of these that you REALLY get something good out of is:

Jaheira...and that's all I'm going to say on that right now; suffice it to say that she has the best NPC quests of all of them.

Most all of the other quests can be done without the NPC's, although certain NPC's are aligned to these quests and have special information that can assist you in them. For example, Nalia isn't required to complete De'Arnise Castle (the fighter stronghold), although she has some useful information that can help you get through it a bit easier if it's your first time.

Like you have to have that one dude in your party for the planar sphere.. whats his name? well anyway i cant think of his name but you need some guy lol.. i have lost my memory [img]graemlins/bonghit.gif[/img]

his name is Valygar - but you don't need him in your party.

But when you meet valygar, you do have to have him enter and then you can discard him again, or else the quest wont be triggered. Until you include him in your party at a later time anyway.

But only if youre evilly aligned horatio (alger?)
