I wondered if there was a way to turn screenshots into sigs. I also wondered if it was even legal.

hmmn well in most cases(with things u download that have a copyright)
if u cut out certain bits and dont write Forgotten Realms TM DO NOT COPY RIGHT on it then it shud be legal if not then erm cut out the borders so its just an ingame sequence that cant be totally recognized or just do it any way and dont care about it. J:J |
Hey FelixJaeger, why don't you put that knight in your profile? I see you type it in every time you post, so it would be a lot easier if you just added it into your profile.

as long as you dont use anything copyrighted by the RIAA you should be ok.
|
Well, there is this program called Hypersnap, you can take screenshots at any given time of any game you're playing. Now, why would that be illegal ?
|
Because it is their game, they made it, how would it be legal to publicly display pictures from it? I dunno. I got some cool screenshots, like one of a wizard killing fifty orc mages with a single death spell. I'm not sure...I don't know much about legal affairs, someone who is a lawyer might.

it's fine to use screenshots just make sure the sig is only 225 pixels Long and 155 pixels High.
I've made some in-game Gifs before... like this one http://members.lycos.co.uk/th8or/000...AWULTIMATE.gif It's my level 200 character in Phantasy Star Online the game that my Sig was inspired by. See i drew it as a "fan art" and as long as i don't make money off of it it's ok... |

And yes, as /)eath and Johnny both mentioned, it is legal to use it aslong as you do not either make a profit, or inhibit the profits of persons with the sale rights to it, or in english- just don`t try to sell it;) |
Its easy and it is legal when you are in game... just press the print screen button which is next to scroll lock on your keyboard.... then open up any image program (Paint, Photoshop, paintshop, Photosuite, etc.) and then click edit, then paste... and then it will paste the image that was on you screen at that moment onto the page in your image program... then if you have the right tools in your program you can cut it and write on it etc. (I dont think the default 'paint' that comes with windows has cut, write etc.)
