Do you have any techno-geek gadgets you absolutely cant live without? Doesn't have to be computer related, but its a good start. For me my latest addition has to be IT. Yesterday my small(ish) 500VA U.P.S. arrived. For those non-geek & non-geekettes out there a UPS is a Uninterruptable Power Supply. Basically a big battery connected to a DC to AC converter that keeps my computer running in the event of a blackout. A most useful device, given the number of blackouts i get where i live. It only lasts for 5-6 minutes, but thats more than enough for 95% of the blackouts we have, and plenty enough time to do a calm controlled computer shutdown. Over all Id say my fave is my computer. Ive put a lot of money into this puppy. Building it with my own hands and getting all the stuff for the things I wanted it to do have been very fun.
I like being able to turn my webcam on and have my baby wave at Grandma 7,000 miles away My next favorite attachment(s) would be the two Wingman controllers I can play NHL 2002 with :D Next is my DVD player and 1500 watt speaker system. This puppy JAMS :D Stick in a Metallica DVD and crank it up :D |
My pirate cable box.

My Wacom graphics tablet, it beats the heck out of drawing with a bar of soap (mouse) :D

My mobile phone... lol.. not very geeky, but my attachment to it is massive
*smile* |
