There is actually a reason for Bush's plan.

For the United States to continue its War on Terrorism, Bush has to back Sharon's War on Terrorism with Palestine. It's as simple as that.

Nothing stimulates the economy like a good 'ol fashioned war! As far as I'm concerned (and this is just my opinion) the states is once again resurecting Vietnam, they're somewhere where the have no business being!
I don't condone terrorism in any way, but getting involved in a religious war is asking for trouble.
