When I put in BGII disk one to install the game, the small BGII window pops up, i choose the "install" option, but it just loads the same screen again and again!
So I open the d: directory and click on setup.exe, but my computer says "setup.exe is not a valid win32 application". I tried using the 'add/remove programs' application, and i get the same error message. I also downloaded dcom95, which was supposed to be a possible solution, but didn't help. I use Windows 95. I bet it is just a simple thing to fix, but I don't know how. Help! Thanks!!!!!!!

You might need to consider upgrading your Operating system.... I am currently using Windows Millenium and I don't find any major problems with it, so you should consider that or Windows 98, because quite frankly Windows XP is still *BUG* ridden.

Thanks for the tip, i'll upgrade to Win98 soon. In the meantime, I guess i'll just put the cd's back in the box, unless you have any ideas? But thanks anyway.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that BG will run on 95 at all.

Look on the box and see what the minimum requirements are. (I have a mac, or I would look on mine.) That could be the problem.

Hang loose till you upgrade... it will be worth it for this game alone! :D

Yes, it says on the box that it runs on Win95, but it's the "setup.exe" file that won't open (i get the error message). I don't know what makes something a Win32 application or not, I made a search and got nothing...

Upgrade to 98se, or Me. I use Me, and had only one problem. I went to run the game, and got some error about not being installed, or I have to complete the uninstall....whatever. I reinstalled in and seems to be okay, It has to do with Me rewriting the registry....over and over....
