I LOVE the energy blades high level ability spell for priests and wizards. Works wonders against the final boss in ToB and against dragons. In the strategy guide they rate it bad but from my experience, it makes life a whole lot easier.

/me's word to the wise. A Sorcerer with Energy Blades cannot engage an Adamantium Golem in melee, no matter how cool it looks. Especially on Insane Difficulty.

While you think that the energy blades look cool, it is not it's purpose.... To be honest I have found a normall staff to be more damaging than them... or maybe it's just me dodgy game....lol
