Hi all,

I'm gonna buy BG1 and ToSC soon and Tob too. Now I wondered, can you make a BG1 character and import it all the way up to Tob through ToSC and Soa? And how will it work with all the EXP caps then?

Peace and Long Life, Zuvio.

Indeed you can, the maximum EXP cap is 8,000,000 so you can create an extremly powerful character :D

If you don't use any external tools to remove the XP caps, you'll just stop gaining XP at a certain point in all the games. I think you can become level 7 in a regular BG/TotS game and between level 14 (druid) to level 23 (bard) in a regular BG2 game. In the end, you could become up to level 40 in Throne of Bhaal. EXP Caps

BG1: 89,000
Totsc: 159,000 (or is that 160,000 not quite sure)
BG2: 2,950,000
TOB: 8,000,000

Ennox, I thought you didn't agree with XP removers. Or did you think it was only suitable if you used the kills to get up to the highest level.. I can't remember, but hey I got my darn post reply's working, so wahoooooooooo.......

Ok, thats cool.

But when you import one, is it exactly the char you left at the last
game, complete with all the items and armour and special weapons? So
that if you have the baddest weapons and armour from BG1 and ToSC,
wouldnt SoA be a lot easier?

Zuvio.

Legitimately, SoA strips off all the equipment on your character and destroys them.

Illegitimately, you can keep pressing the 'I' key when the screen is still black in the beginning. Keep pressing until the game is paused and you are brought to your inventory. Proceed to dump everything on the ground, then press 'G' to resume the game to your torture scene.
