Female rapist sentenced
The 24-year-old woman found guilty on Thursday of forcing sex on a sleeping man has been sentenced to eight months in prison by a Bergen court.

The woman was sentenced according to rape laws, for having obtained sexual access to a sleeping man. This was the appeals trial, after she had been sentenced to nine months for the same offense.

The assault took place at a post-party gathering in a Bergen apartment on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004. The woman admitted to taking the man's erect penis in her mouth but claimed that he was awake and approved.

The man awoke and became extremely upset and has had psychological difficulties as a result of the incident. The appeals jury again found in favor of the man's version, the woman having suffered a severe loss of credibility by changing her story just before the first trial began.

She had originally denied that any sexual contact took place, but then said it was consensual after a DNA report emerged.

This is the first time in Norway that a woman has been convicted for rape as the sole assailant. There is one prior case of a woman being convicted of being an accessory to rape, along with two male co-defendants.


O sheesh what a wuss. I can think of worse ways to wake up to in the morning. :D

Got to say I agree - psychological issues?!

I suppose we should step back and look at this a bit more objectively though - if the roles were reversed and a woman was the victim then it would immediately be sexual assault of the worst kind. I guess that there's no reason why this particular man has to conform to our base standards and morals [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well, whatever it is, i wouldn't wanna call it rape, more like an unexpected surprise. :D When i think of rape, i think of violence, this guy was asleep for crying out loud. And even though i can understand why he would object, it's still not rape, that's just lame.

People usually think violence when they think rape, but non consent=rape. That's how date rape works; the victim is drugged and so it's not "violent" in the traditional sense, but it's rape nonetheless.

It can be even more harmless than non-consent. If, while doing the deed consensually, she says stop and you keep going, even for a minute - that's rape. It's lame, but it's rape.

Hey, Johnny, would your opinion change had it been another MAN who did this to the guy?

If you wake up and find a woman performing fellatio on you it's "unexpected surprise" -- is that also true if you find a man doing it, or do you then call it rape?

Anyway, i guess that would ask for a severe asswhooping, but to hell with any criminal charges. I guess if something like that happened to me, i wouldn't go to court with it, i think i'd rather keep it quiet AFTER breaking mr Fellatio's face. *shrug*

• If the girl bit him during the process = rape</font>
• If the woman looked like his mother = rape</font>
• If the man knew it was going on, and waited until the "end" to "wake-up", and shout rape... = The defence is lying for some reason.</font>
