The Iraqii Information Minister announced today that the next Summer Olympics will be held in Baghdad. He went on to say that :
1) Iraq already lead the medal count by 50 gold medals because they have abolished the sports and swimming and diving and allocated all these medals to Saddam's sons and uncles.
2) The visiting teams of Australia, Great Britian and the US will not be allowed to bring their own shoes, and NO, they have no intention of clearing the running track of its' current litter of broken glass and rubble.
3) Site clearing for the new 100,000 person stadium is not only on plan - IT IS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.

He went on to scotch rumours of an impending UN resolution banning the WOMC (Walls of Mass Construction) that are planned for the stadium. Denying reports of government corruption he declared that he embraced the learning opportunities that would be afforded over the coming months through close association with the International Olympic Committee. We expect that we can learn a lot from them he declared exuberantly.

Announcing the expansion of the International Airport for the event, he again reiterated that there were no coalition troops at the airport - well apart from the two we captured on Thursday and the 10,000 that committed suicide yesterday.
