I feel as a Canadian citizen, I owe the American people an apology for the rercent actions on behalf of Canada.
Recently protesters in Canada took to the burning of American flags outside of US embassies, and the booing of the US National Anthems during hockey games amongst other despicable acts. Although, everyone has the right to feel how they wish about the war, it is completely disrespectful to behave in such a manner. The defacing of any nations emblem is disgracefull, and makes my ashamed to be a part of this country. To to the citizens of the US, I appologize for the actions of these few people. |
I also would like to apologize on behalf of my fellow Canadians, but to both the USA and France, for the actions of some Canadians.

Don't be ashamed of your country, just be ashamed of those who act in a manner you believe is inappropriate. :D
I appreciate your compassion. |

Unfortunately those who oppose the war are often painted with the same brush, just as those who agree with it. |

Each individual is responsible for their won actions.

Animal, that was very sweet and thoughtful. But as others have said, you aren't doing those awful things and have made an effort to say you don't approve of them, so you have no need to apologize!
Everyone is certainly entitled to their feelings on the issue, it's just a shame some feel that those types of actions are ok. :( At any rate, you and Luvian and all our Canadian members shouldn't feel responsible for the actions of some who find extremes the only way they can vent frustrations over politics and events out of their immediate control.
