I just read on a newswebsite that George Bush and the UK president decided not to have another UN vote, because of the French want to veto.
Also, yesterday, the US sent their B-2 bomber to bases in england and in the Indian Ocean. Look like they decided there is nothing to be achieved at the UN and decided to go on with their plan. [ 03-14-2003, 04:41 PM: Message edited by: Luvian ] |
I look at it this way - as long as we keep pressure on Saddam, he will cooperate.
As far as I know - Bush isn't sure there won't be a vote - but it doesn't look like France is on board. I believe things are still up in the air. |

Anyway...I just wanted to agree with you on your above-mentioned statement. I doubt you implied what I elaborated with, however.</font> |
Actually, Larry, the idea has occurred to me as well. That this could all be a bluff just to make Saddam do what he promised to do.
It is working, anyway. Who'da thunk? |

not sure bout the USA though The difference is that the USA want Saddam out, while France wants Saddam to keep quiet and behave |
Since when has Saddam Cooperated? All he has to do is show he destroied the weapons or produce them for destruction. Something he has yet to do! You could make the claim based on his destruction of some of his Al Sammud missiles. But of course he continues to make them so the matter is moot. The guy is a fraud! He denies he has chemical and biological weaponsone day, then threatens to use them on his enemies the next day.
