Well, if your playing a good character, go with the theives, if your an evil SOB go with the vamps. :D

i would only go with the vamps if you're a truly evil character, and like involving yourself with other evil characters. Personally, my evil chars are much more into exploiting others than doing "evil" things for the betterment of evil everywhere. None of my evil parties have EVER sided with Bodhi, or given the (spoiler!) dragon eggs to Phaere or the Matron Mother. (even though i did kill adalon... save the eggs, kill the mom... sweet irony...) Good characters are much less likely to betray you, which Bodhi does.

LE characters might make it as a choice, but that's about it.

Have never taken the evil route and sided with Bodhi, but from what I understand the quest is supposed to be like 10 times harder if you go this way. Don't really know how accurate that is though.

No it isnt harder IMO.. the big difference IMO is that with the theives you get more XP... but with bodhi you get better items... that is generally the only difference... and also IMO i find the Vamp side easier

Hi

I have basically a good party so I'll go that way for first time through, save the evil party till next time

Thanks

You should definetly side with bodhi one time or the other ...
It's your own choice who you side with, but you should try the other side too.
In my experience i found the last bodhi-quest, to eradicate the shadow thieves, quite amusing

technicly, according to THE LORDS OF DARKNESS book, the Shadow Theives are evil, meaning every body in the organization is one form of the three alignments. Therefor either way you are working for evil, but siding with bohdi is just more evil

Exactly, so it's a matter of choosing between the lesser of two evils.

Interesting that if you do a Detect Evil on the fearless leader of the Shadow Thieves, he doesn't come up as evil... ;)

IMO i would side with the shadow thieves, it seems easier that way.

MINOR SPOILER

the only trouble i got fighting bodhi in her dungeon was this one vamp mage gaurding the blood and spikes room. even bodhi herself was easier than that vamp lol
