Indeed. It would be nice if Saddam could find it within himself to 'take one for the team' so to speak. Not that he wouldn't be living a more comfortable life in exile than most do in their own lands anyway....

Exactly. At least he'll live. If the USA invades he'll more than likely die. He'd be stupid not to do it, and the USA would be visiting unnecessary death on people if they reject the offer.
