I think these two men should run the world. They are so wise.
What do you think Dramnek? Tanya? |
Hah, well, they're certainly better suited for the job than any of the politicians we have here in Denmark, I suspect most others would be.
|
You're being sarcastic, right?
|
LOL sorry but both those guys are written down on my IDIOTS list.
But then again so are pretty much the whole lot of politicians the world over :D IMO thats like saying why not let Jay and Silent Bob run the world:hehe: |
Make Bush the president of the world????????????
*Runs away screaming in terror* |
Okay! When you consider someone a good World Leader, you need to look beyond the popularity polls.
A War can turn a so-so Commander In Chief into a hero (like making a silk purse from a sow's ear). Papa Bush had ratings similar to Dubya during Desert Storm, but when it came time to choose the next President, Senior Bush was left holding the bag. Sorry, but in the long run, I do not think the Bush half of this Fantasy Ticket has the staying power to be anything more than be a cheerleader for America. Remove the script and he starts to babble and trip on his own words. The fact that we're in a war has caused everyone to not question his abilities, because they would be told to rally behind the President or you are 21 Century version of the Commie! (Yay , I got to Bushwack!) ;) I don't know much about Blair, though he has a silver tongue, from what I hear from our British friends here, there is more below the surface. At this moment in history there is no one who can or should run this World. |
Yeah, I don't know much about the Bush side but Blair is not really world leader material from my point of view. He may seem strong but if you actually look at what he says it amounts to very little. It is the hallmark of the third way ideology to never say anything that people can disagree with. For example he might say "We want to live in a cosmopolitian society". Well done, so do most people. But saying it doesn't bring the actuality any closer. New Labour is big on rhetoric that covers them either way but when it comes to policies... They are either nonexistant or simply don't follow what they say. Here are some points to remember about the way Blair runs the government:
1. He has doubled the number of special press advisors in Downing Street. 2. He has told all MPs to stay on message despite the fact that they are constitutionally elected to represent a constituency not a party. 3. He has set up a special war press unit that makes sure the news of how things are going on the front is coorinated not to be released all at the same time. For example they might make sure that news of a bombing raid does not coincide with news of Blair meeting another world leader. 4. An official in the DTI sent an e-mail to her colleages only an hour after the planes hit the buildings saying: "Now might be a good time to release any information we want to bury.". The government is ridiculously based on press management but is soooooo thin on actually doing anything. Blair only appears to be a world leader because he is undoubtably very skilled at presenting an image. Try and get behind his image and you see he really has nothing to back it up with. Although I understand this is probably a bit of a joke on Yoricks part. At least, I hope it is... |

Bush and Blair run the world. Well quite frankly, I would rather have Blair in power than Bush. However, if you want a true leader, I would suggest Vladimir Putin. He's intelligent, he understands international issues probably better than any other leader on this Earth. I know he's a communist hardliners, but, if I have the choice between the idiotic Bush and two-face Blair, I would take Putin!
