Given the extraordinarily biased coverage of this affair (in the UK anyway) this story caught my eye and deserved a mention. Refugees being attacked by Christian militias never really gets much media attention for some reason [ 03-26-2005, 10:55 AM: Message edited by: shamrock_uk ] |
That is because they are on the side of Right and Good, meaning that their cause is always Just.
You know that the various sources of news report only what they want to report, right? |
Lol, actually I should qualify my post - the bias I referred to wasn't actually referring to the lack of reporting on Christian militias. I just couldn't resist lobbing that in ;)
Bias: Immense coverage to the anti-Syria protests, despite this particular religious group being a minority in the country. When the majority religious group held a massive pro-Syria demonstration later in the week, only the Financial Times carried the story on the front page - everyone else just ignored it. I think I'm seeing double standards all around, they're everywhere...aaargh! Looks like the 'democratic majority voice' only counts when its in agreement with Western anti-Syrian agendas ;) |
