I decided it would be nice to create a poll to speculate whether it will happen or not.

There is no doubt that such an occurrence would affect the world greatly. Far less countries would support the decision, I reckon.

Recent articles on the matter leave the impression that another war will happen. Then again, Iran's promise to retaliate with full force, the possibility that North-Korea would directly support Iran and financial difficulties say otherwise.

Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for voting.

I doubt it. The war in Iraq is expensive enough as it is, and Bush has enough problems back home. I'm not an American, but I think their education and health care might be woefully short on funds.

Let's hope so.

Iran is a place where women get stoned to death for being raped.

Do you think the American government will attack Iran? Yes.

Hypothetical situation: Suppose USA attacks Iran - Do you support the decision? I didn't support the decision to attack Iraq and I definitely won't support this one either.

Do you think....: No
Hypothetical question: I supported Iraq, but wouldnt support this.

I think we're looking at airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities within the next two years, either by the US or Israel.

Dick Cheney very un-diplomatically dropped the Israel's in it by suggesting they might do such a thing, so presumably he's looking for a return on the investment from all that military aid.

Allegedly Israel has recently been supplied with 500 'bunker buster' bombs by the US and that other report alleged that US special forces were on the ground selecting targets.

So, my prediction: sanctions then airstrikes but nothing else. The balance of power within the pentagon is slowly shifting back to the military away from the civilian neo-cons now so with luck foreign policy will return to normal.

If US should attack Iran just because they already have/might have/gonna have nukes. What about other countries that already have nukes like China? India? Pakistan? This? That? or [ insert other countries that have/might have/gonna have nukes] ? Why don't US attack them too?

War: No, there might be some industrial accidents at the facilities ;) , there might also be an uprising of the population. But, war "not gonna happen" unless things take a change for the worse.

There is no possible way to generate enough public support for attacking Iran, despite repeating how far along their nuclear enrichment program may or may not be. One military action is enough.

Only an idiot would move againt Iran (or North Korea) at this time.
