My God this is sickening!
In addition, as a discussion topic (besides the above mentioned) how can human trafficking be stopped as a whole? Ms. America/Brunei http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/sultan1.html Human Trafficking: http://www.antislavery.org/homepage/...rafficking.htm |
Prostitution is as old as the human race. In the case of human trafficking, however. The women are more then prostitutes. They're virtual slaves who are initialy promised a job in the west, and end up being in debt to some criminal syndicate. Say what you want about the Sultan of Brunei, but if his practices appear to happen with mutual consent, it is not trafficking. If western women agree to 'serve him' in exchange for large amounts of money, that's completly up to them.

Perhaps you didn't read page 3/4. The plaintiff was not told of having intercourse or going to parties apparently, rather, to make appearences and whatnot.

No, I just read the article that came with it. Which stated: "according to a lawsuit filed by ex-Miss USA Shannon Marketic, portions of which are reproduced here, that country's billionaire rulers regularly import American women for six-week stints as high-paid hookers."
