This is a fairly comprehensive and condensed site. It's very useful if you're not sure of a candidates standing on an important issue to you.

Funny how the first 25 things listed under George Bush were framed as negatives or undesireable, and how the first 25 things listed under John Kerry were framed as positives.

I do believe I detect an agenda :D

I didn't notice they were framed as negative. He is against abortion and always has been. In rereading it, I do see his bullets are more critical than the liberal ones. *sigh*

Can you find a place that simply states the factual standings of the politicians on the issues without bias?

shamrock_uk 10-20-2004 06:19 PM

I think his policies are just slightly more negative than the liberal ones. I don't see any misrepresentation or distortions particularly...

Sir Kenyth 10-20-2004 06:42 PM

No, I have to admit, most of his bullets are worded more harshly. It doesn't matter if they're true or not. They aren't listing Kerry as saying he's for the killing of fetuses for the mothers benefit. It's all in the way it's worded. I still am voting for the Dems. this year. I think their views are needed to counterbalance some of the negative trends I see happening.

I like that VoteMatch quiz though, thanks Sir Kenyth!

I have 5% in common with Cheney politically ;)

Though they haven't done enough research on some of their minor 'characters'. The only way Rush Limbaugh could ever come up as "Moderate Conservative" is if they don't have answers for lots of questions. And guess what, they don't.

Ahhhh.... challenging the source as always. You've gotten too predictable MagiKMan! Try substance for a refreshing change of pace. Any sourc can be poo-pooed.

TL you might try looking at the info yourself and quit doing the exact same thing you are accusing me of. Even Sir K. had to admit there is a definate difference in how the left and right candidates are being portreyed.

My comment is legitimate.

I fail to see the problem. The issue blurbs seem to be taken directly from from quotes from the candidates, so if the slant appears "negative" or "positive" it's the candidates fault for framing the issue that way, not the website.
