hahaha! good link. i saw the debate last night and it was a good format and the audience had some good questions. bush did a good job debating but my vote goes to kerry for the second debate. his answers and demeanor i liked. with bush, i listened but didn't like his answers or how he answered them. what's up with the head lurching that he does and that goober lip pursing. ugh, he's so ugly!

In my opinion these debates are pretty much useless. What's left to say or do that their supporters don't already know ? More mudslinging ? More childish accusations over and forth ? I really appreciate America, but the American presidential elections is something i can do without. My god... what a disgusting freakshow. How much more of these enlightning debates are we going to have to put up with ? Is it a best of seven for crying out loud ?
Just get that circus over with and get the hell off my tv screen so i can get annoyed by the regular scheduled reality soaps again. |
The debates are extemely important in that they establish the absolute opposing views, and see how well the two candidates have planned out their future terms. Obviously you can also see they are important because they gave the opposition (Kerry) a chance to solidify his points and his plan. And a chance to make Bush look like an idiot (which he is), which is always a good thing.

I think differently, but for different resons. Nothing gets said in the debates... except Bush looking like an idiot.
As for the absentee ballots... I'm not worried. The previously-untapped youth vote will decide this election in Kerry's favor. |
The debates are extremely important. In speeches and on news ads, Bush answers Kerry's charges with "he voted against the $87 million" and Kerry answers "flip-flop" charges with "wrong war, wrong place." The debates flesh out this rhetoric, and make the candidates address the real criticism rather than the rote rhetoric.
.... Sometimes .... when, we're lucky. |
