What a load of codswallop!!
Peace protestors, protesting against war in Boston, but resorting to a) Violence b) Explosives HYPOCRITES!!! Have they not studied Ghandi's nonviolence! It makes any credibility for a genuine peace movement impossible. Note: You do not win if you become your enemy to defeat your enemy. It's a laughing stock. They do not truly want peace or they would be the change they wish to see. It's like saying "Bush, do what we say not what we do". Really pathetic. |
Yeah it is pathetic, but after a long week of peaceful demonstrations I refuse to let a few jokers who may or may not have actually been "peace protesters" ruin the fact that the overwhelming amount of anti-war demonstrations and demonstators were both peaceful and non-destructive.
BTW- If this is the incident you were refering to, the "explosive" was a fake (not that this justifys such stupidity). http://news.bostonherald.com/dncConv...rticleid=37885 |
A few dead cops and protestors would have made this really more interesting. Come on! Where are the good old days when people cared enought to protest violently!!
|
Well, the draft "protests" by the Irish in New York City in 1865 (a relatively unknown chapter in American history) were certainly violent. Gangs clashed with eachother, ordinary citizens, the army and government officials whom they didn't like too much.
