I don't know...the decent thing for them to do would have been to "escort" the small boats back into non-Iranian waters. That is what would have happened were the situation reversed.</font>

The Mad Ayatollah will not do anything irreversible. He wants nukes, and that means minimum attention to his terror state. I bet he shouted personally on those that detained British personnel. He should have them escorted to the iraqi waters.
An interesting question arises-is there a nuke facility near the coast?
