Okay here is something that you should never ever do.

Say you have Nalia as a mage, and Jan as your theif. You have a full party pretty late in chapter two and you need to pick up Valgar for the Planer Sphere quest. Well you think that you don't need Nalia as you have Jan and your party can easily handle the wizards and demons with ease. Well Nalia has the Staff of the Magi, and Jan is your parties only person with a ranged weapon, so you decide that you don't need to take the Staff with you. So you leave it equiped in Nalia's weapon slot. Duh. Don't ever do it.

I'll tell you why. You finnaly finnish with the Planar Sphere and in the process delete all of your previous saves except for you emergency-back-up-save, which is WAY back there, about three quests and three liches ago. Well you go back to get Nalia and... you guessed it. She isn't there. Why? Because one of the equiped abilaties of the Staff of the Magi +5 is invisability. Which, may I remind you, you cannot dispel off of her. Believe me, I tried EVERY single spell I could and she wouldn't show up. A fireball turned her visible when she became hostile and casted spells at me. So in other words I have to load that way-back-there-back-up save and do about three quests and kill those three liches, and then the planer sphere agian, just because I didn't take the damnable staff out of Nalia's hands. Damn it's depressing.

Anyway.... a word to the wise. Don't ever drop a person in your party who has the Staff of the Magi +5 in their hands.

Ugh, I know how you feel. I did the same thing with Edwin. I felt so stupid!!! Oh, well... the other BG gamers will learn from our mistakes. ;)

Two words: Area affect.
Muchly casting of smite and fireball would help ya.

I had to go back to page two to find this thread because I have new information.

You can dispel the invisability. This didn't work for me the first time I did it but the seconed time around of casting dispel magic accualy worked. So now there is nothing to worry about! If you do anything like I did, just find out where you dropped them and cast dispel magic. I don't know why it didn't work the first time but after I reloaded and tried agian it worked.

So that was just to ease your fears and give you all advice.

Hm. I was about to suggest turning the Cheats on and doing Ctrl-Q all over the place, eventually hitting her. Or just running a whole bunch of True Sights or Keldorn's Dispel Magic, the bad guys are always able to find ME when I'm Invisible.

That doesn't help, he even already tried that... It would only turn Nalia hostile. ;)
