I have about decided that Imoen is doing so well as a thief that I don't want to duel her. I have Myself - a Paladin, Branwin, Dyneheir, Minsc, Imoen, and an empty slot (I let Kahlid get killed...he really get on my nerves). I am about to go pick up Kivan...but now wonder...should I find a thief and duel Imoen after all and if so, where can I find a neutral or good thief? Or just pick up Kivan and go for it!?

well, Imoen is good at everything thief does, except for backstabs - she is kind of weak. But at lockpicking, trap detection/disarming and scouting she is excelent. But I personally dualclassed her at level 6 into a conjuror (i have TOTSC), so now she is levle 6 thinf/levle 9 conjuror. Excelent combo http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif

That does sound good. I have TOSC also, but in the meantime, while Imoen is coming up to level as a mage...who can I get as a thief!! I can't be without a thief.

Well, Do you have Coran? he is an excelent thief and an awesome archer.

Personally, i dualled her at level 5. Then went roaming the countryside. Killed Drizzt, killed the doomsayer, killed sirens and basilisks. I had her as a level 6 conjurer before even going to Nashkel mines. It is though but doable.

There's that halfling thief Alora that you meet in the Hall of Wonders in Baldurs Gate city. She's decent. She even has a subquest to look into.

Ok...I had about decided on Coran, but I can't get to the area where he is found (Cloakwood #1 i think) It doesn't show up on my map...How can I get there? Imoen is at level 5 already and fast approaching level 6 --- HELP!

From memory, you won't be able to access Cloakwood unless you have first finished the Bandit Camp quest.
