I just replayed SOA, with TOB installed, and there are a couple of strange problems with Edwin since entering hell. I'm now through into TOB and the problems have continued. First, boots of speed don't work on him (and its not because of any items of free action). After looking around, I realised this is a problem related to the nether scroll, but the bug-fixes (from baldurash) don't work. Btw, I have the latest patch and the entire bug-fixes from baldurash.

Anyway, I can live with him being slower than the rest of my party, but the biggest problem is the second one. His special abilites button (the * button) has disappeared. This means I can't cast spell sequencers, chain contingency, etc.

Is there any way to get around these problems? Maybe some global variable changes using shadowkeeper? Please help.. I played all the way through SOA again and I really want to complete TOB again too, but those dragon fights will be way harder without the sequencers!

Just realised that there's no reason why Edwin can't cast chain contingency (other than my stupidity).. which makes it a bit better. Still, any solutions for the other problems?

i don't think that the Baldurdash patch fixes it if it's already happened. I'm not sure what you can do, short of reloading and trying again.

Hm.. ok.. I had the baldurash patches already installed though, so I guess it might happen again.

Anyway, I think I'll just play on as it is. After I realised that those nifty chain contingencies still work, it's not that big a loss.. Edwin can't use sequencers but Imoen can [img]smile.gif[/img] And I just have 5 pairs of the boots of speed anyway.

get a cleric or someone on your team who can res (ressurect), then kill edwin. save before you do this. after he dies res him and it might work. hey, its worth a try ;) just make sure you save first if it doesnt work
