The Link is here. My only question is...if the EU ends up ruling against standing long term contracts that were willingly entered into by member states....what are the Holywood types options? Just take their programming and go home? Is there much of a market for American Cable television in the EU? Will anyone miss not seeing reruns of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" in Spain, or Portugal or Brussels? Ive read and re-read this and I still am kind of foggy on why Brussels is upset. They are claiming high prices...but as far as I can tell, everyone here int he US pays high prices too...and There is a near monopoly on who can get what cable company, there is no real competition..unless you count sattelite TV.....on the other hand...the cable companies paid for the meathod of bringing their signal toyour home...why should they have to sahre it? Im sooooo confused!!!! </font> [ 01-13-2004, 11:51 AM: Message edited by: MagiK ] |
