Please share the definition because I have never heard that phrase before. My cats are, of course, offended by it. ;)

The term 'dead cat bounce' refers to a stock that raises briefly after a dramatic fall, only to fall again. The stock guys likened to that even a dead cat would bounce if it was dropped from a great enough height.
