For those of you that don't know: This is a CDROM database of the famous CCG Magic: The Gathering that will allow you to play over the internet or (in my case) via a local network.
I have played MTG for about 3 years and loved it very much, but I stopped playing two years ago because it's far too expensive to keep up with the various new sets of cards that come out every three months. My best bud and I have been searching for this CDROM for about a year now and we can't find it anywhere. I know Wizards Of The Coast have stopped production a long time ago, but there should be some people who own it and want to part with it. So this is something like my last resort; does anybody know a way for me to become the proud owner of a copy of this program? I really, really want it very bad. Thanx, Iluvatar |
WOOOHOOO!! Lets all play some caaaards!!!

Iluvatar Oakenshield, do you own a creditcard? In that case, I'd say there's a good chance you would be able to order a copy online, I'd say the auction site e-bay is a possibility. [ 05-18-2002, 12:56 PM: Message edited by: Grojlach ] |

I had it, but sold it awhile back... I loved playing magic, but alas, after Ice Age came out, I quit... Just too damn addicting buying all of the expansion sets...
I have all of my old cards, the first four editions of the game all boxed up, waiting for someone to buy them from me... I am gonna try out the new online game once it comes out... Goodbye money, hello killer combos... |
I heard the new online game will also force you to buy/win virtual cards which, if you complete a set, can be exchanged for real cards. I am not all-knowing about this yet, but I did see some very angry players on various message boards who totally hated this idea. Anyway I am not looking for online play, just for a network.

By the way:

Yes it does... Have a few alpha and beta cards left... Plus complete sets (with exception of Legends) up to Ice Age...
Lotus's, Mox's, and many more of the banned cards... As for the new edition coming out for the PC, it is a way for WOC to make more money off of this popular game... And it has pissed off a lot of loyal players that have been waiting for a good online way to play Magic... Been waiting since Duel of the Planewalkers, and that bust of a ManaLink service that was offered... But, I do not like being told I have to buy boosters online in order to play the game... Should be a subscription like service for new card releases... |
