Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the clones is now in theaters. I just wish I could see it. I'm stuck on a stupid island that gets movies a month after they are released. 3 weeks if were lucky.

*does his best Yoda-imitation*
Patience must you learn. To the dark side you will fall else.

I saw it this morning at Leicester Square, with a certain special guest popping up - Anthony Daniels. He just did a couple of C3PO lines and made a few jokes about the people in the expensive seating, but it was still very funny as everyone was on such a high. As for the movie - it completely blew me away, and I hated the Phantom Menace before anyone asks... ;)

Might I just take this opportunity to say... YODA ROCKS!!!!

Powerful is he...

I wont put any spoilers here

If you are refering to the part I think you are then I agree. I was amazed at how well they pulled off that Yoda Part at the end, I was expecting it too look really cheezy

wierd, this is? Noonoo Thing, wierd this is not! But anyways, enough of Yoda talk. Does the midget man fight? Or should I say Elmo voice?

lroyo 05-16-2002 08:56 PM

Oh yes, Yoda does fight, and what a sight it is to behold!!!!

I want to watch it again!!! I just wish they didn't do as much of the romantic stuff, it really didn't suit the film! I can understand why they did it, as we have to understand why Anakin is persuaded to join the dark side, but it was pretty corny.

Overall, bloody fantastic! :D

Don't mean to be negative, but I honestly HATE Star Wars. Stupid hodge-podge of hi-tech stuff and pseudo-religious mumbo-jumbo, with no apparent rationale for holding them together. All this talk of some mystical 'force', all in the midst of futuristic high-tech stuff? Gimme a break. And heck, if I had advanced technology at my disposal, why would I be so dumb as to settle for a close-quarter melee weapon like a lightsaber? The whole Star Wars saga strikes me as full of such irrationalities. It just doesn't feel believable and convincing, even granting that it's supposed to be fantasy. (And you're supposed to take it all seriously, too!) Can never understand how dear uncle Lucas could ever have come up with this sort of stuff and how so many people could go bonkers over it.

I actually have precious little against all this Star Wars stuff so long as I don't have to run into it well nigh every moment of my waking life. Unfortunately, this is becoming an impossibility. It honestly gets on my nerves how I can hardly turn a corner in any shop or on any street without being further assaulted by Star Wars ads or music. Even when I just want to order a pizza by phone, I hear the stupid SW theme music on the phone, too. Please, is there no way I can get away from this madness?
