My char is a ranger dual to cleric, and I just did the unseeing eye quest. This is supposed to bring up the cleric stronghold, and it did but I have a few questions.

First of all I read somwhere this is supposed to grand you new powers as a cleric, is this true?

What are exactly all the perks of this stronghold, somehow I have the feeling i'm missing out on something. The guy said I could stay, but then later he mentioned I wasn just worthy enough for another quest. My rep is high so that isn't the issue.

your alignment does affect it. i'm not sure about any of this, but i think that anyone can be their alignment or Helm, and neutrals can choose any temple. I THINK that non-specialty clerics become specialty cleric kits in the process, if for some reason they weren't to begin with.

check out the Universal Hint System for a help. it is the best hint site i have seen, and has some of the only data about strongholds. it also has a good way to only spoil you if you want it, unlike a walkthrough.
