can't talk to the sewage golem.I have the activation stone but he just stands there. I restarted 5 times and still nothing.I'm running xp is that a problem?

Running Windows XP might be precisely the problem. I've heard this operating system has a lot of unexpected (and often) unpleasant surprises for BG II players. Windows 98 is the safest (and probably most stable) operating system to play Shadows of Amn under.

Yes - things like the "wotsizface appears busy" bug only affect win2k/xp - which the ToB patch fixes.

I get occasional problems with Bg2 just quitting, dumping me at the desktop (normally when I've just defeated a really bad dude, but before saving [img]smile.gif[/img] ) There are probably a few others as well, but it's probably worth it.

(edit - I mentioned the really bad dude by name.)
