When I use MSN to check my hotmail, (by clicking the thing that says you have so many new messages), it says that the Default Browser cant be found. I think I know whats causing this- I recently uninstalled netscape, but AFAIK, IE should be my default browser... and seeing as I use Windows ME; IE *cant* be uninstalled.

So how do I change the default browser setting ?? There is nothing in IE saying "Set as default browser" or similar (and thats wierd in itself :D ); and no obvious way in Windows to change the setting. :(

Unless my memory fails me when you use Netscpe it should sk you automatically to use it as the default browser. There should be something in the tools section of NetScape. I'm just taking an educated guess here. I might be wrong...

Lennon: I'm running Windows ME as well. This is what I found in the system's help index. Perhaps it will be helpful to you:

To reset Internet Explorer settings

If you installed another Web browser after installing Internet Explorer and Internet Tools, some of your Internet Explorer settings may have changed. You can reset your Internet Explorer settings to their original defaults, including your home page and search pages, and choice of default browser, without changing your other browser's settings.

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Programs tab.
Click the Reset Web Settings button.
