Err, is there anyway to restore a wand's charges? I can't figure it out. And is there a safe place to stash all this extra stuff I might need one day in the distant future but don't need now? Heh, thanks.
PS. Do I have to run to Gaelen(or however you spell his name) in Chap. 2 as soon as I get the money, or can I wait and do some other quests first? |
There's no direct way to recharge wands, but you can sell them to a merchant & buy them back. They'll be fully recharged, but obviously this method is pretty expensive.
Keep the good ones, like the one that casts fireball, monster summoning, etc. Ones that you can sell: magic missile. Wand of lightning - up to you, it's a double edged sword due to the "bounce off the wall and come back at you" property of lightning bolts. But it does some serious damage. You can stash stuff in containers. Just choose a place in the city as your "base" & store whatever you want in the boxes, chests, etc. I used the Copper Coronet in my game. You can make Gaelen wait, and do so more quests in Chap 2 if you wish. He'll be waiting for you... ;) |
I put my stuff in a box in the goverment district
join the dark side luke, its useless to resist(dark vader) no never(luke) |
I dont keep any of it. You get enough of the stuff throughout the game and your mages and clerics get stronger than that which any bound spell can cast. Sell the stuff. If you dont then when you get you Stronghold (depending on what type of character you are) then you can dump your stuff there and it wont get stolen or anything! But I recommend selling the stuff.

Wands of Fire
Wands of Cloudkill Wand (I've only found 1) of Monster Summoning Wands of the Heavens Rods of Resurrection Sell the rest. (Remember back in BG1, when Wands of Frost were actually good?) |
