Okay, I'm at home right now, but lately I have been surfing up a storm at work, mostly at this web site, and to the point where I am getting into trouble. It's an addiction!
Am I alone? How many of the rest of you chat while you should be doing something more productive that you are getting paid for??? |
A VERY common occurance around here ;)

LOL, <font color="cyan">Sir Michael</font>,
That is funny because I've thought of making the exact same thread. I've not gotten in trouble (yet), but I've caught myself spending up to 2hrs (out of 8hr shift) browsing and responding to IronWorks threads. |
Erm... Mmmmm. Time to come clean - I'm at work right now. Tsk-tsk. I recently moved desks and unbelieveably they gave me the corner desk in a completely open-plan office - I have a corner with floor to ceiling windows! :D So no-one can see what the heck I'm doing (well apart from the construction guys putting up a new office block across the street that is)- as long as I churn out the work it won't raise an eyebrow.

Seriously though - work restricts internet access - so I am a home only dude. |
I'm definately in the same category as you. I try so hard not to do it, but it draws me back over and over again.
Work will find out eventually! |
99% of my posts come from my work machine

Well this is the magic of IW..
Instead of doing your HW and resting or whatever, you end up posting... and reading.. straining your eyes to thy kingdom come.. (I say it's the evil scheme of Ziroc and he knows we can't blame him heeheehee :D ) |
Oh, I can relate. Last year my employer let me study from home. So, I enrolled in correspondances university courses. When I was suppose to study and I spent most of my time on this site . I've spent so much time that I limited my studies to about 35 hours the first term (an average of 7 hours per course) and 16 hours the second term (an average of 5.3 hours per course). By studying, I mean reading the courses material, writing papers and reviewing for the final exam. In the second term, the 9-11 attacks and CNN's coverage also distracted me. Nonetheless, I've managed to obtain my undergrad certificate in communications with a 3.43 GPA! I'm either lucky or very intelligent... knowing myself, I'd go with luck.
This board is very fun, very addictive and very dangerous |
you should tell your boss how educational it is for you to browse these boards. Maybe he'll join in, or better, maybe you'll get paid extra lol
