How many video games have you beaten?I've beaten about 17 games.

Sir Mandorallen 04-22-2002 08:21 PM

ummm.... way too many too count? Does that count as an answer?

I have like over forty something games and I have beaten all but two of them... *sigh* I proboly should try and win, cause I know that I can, but I'm too busy with Baulders Gate II. (for like the tenth time. ;) )

Serykar 04-22-2002 08:31 PM

Unfortunately I rarely seem to beat a lot of games, even if I like them. Although, on the plus side, I can always go back and start over some time later and still want to finish it.

By video games, I assume you mean computer games as well? Here's my list:

Wizardry 1: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord (more times than I can count)
Wizardry 2: Knight of Diamonds (at least 3)
Wizardry 3: Legacy of Llylgamyn (once)
Wizardry 5: Heart of the Maelstrom (once)
Wizardry 6: Bane of the Cosmic Forge (at least 3 times)
Wizardry 7: Crusaders of the Dark Savant (at least 5 times)
Wizardry 8 (twice)
The Elder Scrolls: Arena (beat at least four times that I can recall)
The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall (beat three times, several starts)
Ancient Domains of Mystery (ADOM) actually beat ONCE, which is saying something
SSI's Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager (twice)
SSI's Menzoberranzan (once)
SSI's Al-Qadim: The Genie's Curse (once)
Might and Magic 3: Xeen (beat twice)
Might and Magic 4: Darkside of Xeen (beat once)
Might and Magic 6: Mandate of Heaven (beat twice)
Might and Magic 7: Of Blood and Honor (beat once)
Balor of the Evil Eye (beat once)
Wizards & Warriors (beat six times)
Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast (beat once)
Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn (beat once)
Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal (working on it and getting close)
Icewind Dale (beat once, still working on Heart of Winter
Darkstone (beat once)
Diablo (beat twice)
Diablo 2 (beat once)
Dungeon Siege (beat once, working on my 2nd playthrough)

I'm sure there's others I've forgotten, but those are the ones I remember.

Cheers,
-Saz

Hmm... let me think... do expansions count?
BG, BG2/ToB, IWD, SC/Brood War, VtMR, D2/LoD, Summoner ,KQ8: MoE, Deus Ex, Ground Control... that's all that I've beaten, I think... so... 10 without expansions counting, 13 with. *shrug* Not too many, it seems...

If console games are allowed too, then far too many for my senile (at age 24) mind to remember. :D

NO WAY!

considering I started gaming with PONG and cassette tapes on my Trash-80(for the young-uns TRS-80 look it up with google now that was a computer ;) ) it would take me waaaaay to long to list all the games I have played using a console or computer. But here is some highlights.

Aztec - TRS 80

Ghost Busters - C 64

Zorc - 386

Starflight - 486

Diablo - Cyrix (yeah I know ) P166

Fallout - AMD K6-2 350

And now I have well over 100 modern computer games. My newest game is Dungeon Seige. So far it seems to be a Darkstone with better graphics and a lamer character system :(

Current system: AMD XP 1800+, 768mb ram, 160gig HDD (RAID 0 ) and a Prophet III graphic card

Ummmmmmm........... a lot. I have no idea how many games I've beaten but I might be able to get all of the RPG's I've beaten (including console games and emulators ;) ) :

Baldur's Gate and TOTSC: twice
Baldur's Gate II SoA & ToB: Only once but with many halfways
Wizards&Warriors: once
Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord: Twice I recall
Wizardry 2: Knight of Diamonds: once
Final Fantasy 4 (2 US): Once, with another start
Final Fantasy 5: Once with another about 3/4 of the way
Final Fantasy 6 (3 US): Way too many times to count (It was my first true RPG experience, I've branched out a bit since then :D )
Final Fantasy Tactics (does that count?): twice
Final Fantasy 7: Once
Final Fantasy 8: Once
Final Fantasy 9: Once with another about halfway
Wild Arms 2: Once
Chrono Trigger: Once with another start
Chrono Cross: I think it was twelve times (I was working on #13 when my memory card deleted itself GRRRR!!!!! I had all 44 characters in one game!)
Diablo 2: Once, currently working on expansion (on quest 6 Act V, almost there)
Legend of Legaia: Once
Secret of Mana: Once
Zelda 1: probably 6 times
Zelda 3: (SNES): 2 I think (helped my little brother more times than I can count though)
Zelda 64 (Ocarina of Time): Once

That's all I can remember right now, I've probably beaten more but I am just forgetting. A lot of once throughs but there's a lot of them . I've played a lot more than that (Wizardry's 3, 4, and 8, Diablo 1, Final Fantasy 1, Breath of Fire 4, Secret of the Stars etc.) but I either don't own them or I never got around to beating them. Oh well, maybe sometime in the future.

based on a rough mathmatical assumption I can clearly state that within my lifetime I beat X amount of video games.

X = 4500

I also might be able to base this on more of a numerical stand point where Y represents the number of games Purchases in total pricing one treated with the value of my possibly paying $20-50 average.

Y= 3900

Average the two and X+Y / 2 = 4200 videogames is the baisic number rounded to the nearest hundreth based on the ammount of games in which I have beaten in my lifetime.

The game most overly beaten? -Probably Phantasy Star Online Due to it's Diablo-like online elements and the lack of Levels to play on...

Most Recently Beaten Game: Gun Valkyrie

First Game Beaten Ever: Super Mario... though the end only wraps around to the begining and the point is to rack up points not save the day 9_9... ACTUALLY no wait... I beat Donkey Kong Before that... and Jump man shortly after so actually DK was my first game beaten...

Favorites through history:
Mario 3, Sonic-all of 'em, Kid Chameleon, Streets of Rage 3, Total Annihilation, Myth II, Starcraft, Marathon 1. 2 and Infinity, Unreal Tournament, Shenmue, Unreal, Quake3, Quake 1, Crazy Taxi. GTA3, GTA2, GTA1 even!, The JourneyMan Project 1 and 3, Ares, A10 Cuba, Fa-18 Korea, Full throttle, Day of the Tentacle, Madhousemansion- the complete series, Tetris Attack, And Tetrisphere for best music and here's the Clencher RANGER X this was one of my most favorite mech games of all time, if only it's popularity had been as good as its gameplay! I loved that battering cannon! The shots took up the entire screen and the theme of the game was All out Mecha and Manga mixed together :D The plot was freakin' good too and you played through the whole thing... It also was alot like gun Valkyrie in the way that you had to use a Jet pak with limited fuel to get places... OH and I liked all those mech-simulator type games...

Games I would never recomend but I still have beaten:
Dead or Alive 3, Descent 3, Crazy Taxi 2, Wing Commander 3, JourneyMan Project 2, gundam 0079, AssHole Cards, ChuChu rocket, Janes Fa18, A10 Attack, PowerStone 1, The Record of Lodoss War Game -_-... err Dino Crisis2, and worst game of all time: Daikatana... *shudders*

Er...does solitare count?

Let's say that only getting into RPGs at 12/13 and youth lead to nlack of job, therefore lack of money, therefore, no way to buy more games. :D And many interests lead to hectic life, lead to little time to play. So probably, of CRPG's...1. ;) Baldurs Gate and TOTSC. I'm working on BG2.
