I've been wondering what the 'Single weapon style', 'Sword and shield style', etc., are all about. If the character is wielding a sword, and has a * in 'Single weapon style' is it like adding another * to the sword proficiency?
And does 'Single weapon style' mean just the weapon and no shield?
Thanks for the explanations. :D :D :D

Single weapon is when u are using a one handed weapon then ur ac will be lowered 1 to 2 points depending how many u put on the proficiency.
Sword and shield is when u are using a shield and a one handed weapon u get a higher ac against missles only like arrows and maybe magic arrow.
My suggestion is that if u are using a bow or x bow use the single weapon if not use shield with the sling.

that is exactly what it means. The idea is to give you some advantage (as if you had a shield) when you are using singel weapon. Suppossedly it means you are trians to not only attack but also block blows with the weapon at the same time

When you have a proficiantcey slot to use, click on what you want to know about and it will give a complete description of the advantages of your choice. I find the most beneficial is two slots in two handed weapon style, you double your chances of a critical hit (19+20 instead of just 20). Dual wielding is great too.
