Today is the only calendrical date which is a military command--March Fourth. . .march forth. Therefore, today we honor all of the gallant men and women who serve in all branches of the military. We acknowledge and salute the sacrifices they make to keep this the land of the free and the home of the brave.

You know what's also interesting? The other day it was the 20th of February, 2002. So the date was 20/02/2002. It's the only palendromic date since a really long time [img]smile.gif[/img] .

I guess the last time would have been January 20th of....last year. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] Doing it your way, day/month/year, there is one of these each year of the first dozen years of each new century. Until the 33rd century (which starts in the year 3200), of course, after which it won't happen again.

Of course, if you figure it based on month/day/year, as most do in the US, there hasn't been one of these for most of a millenium. The most recent would have been New Year's Eve in the year 1231, and there won't ever be another.

Keep in mind, all of my highly scientific calculations are based on a bad day at work and two beers, so I'm sure someone will correct me here...lol. :D

Actually, doing it my way ;) , the 20th of January 2001 isn't a palendrome at all, it's 20/01/2001, a palendrome reads the same backwards as it does forwards [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Though of course the 10th of February 2001 is technically a palendrome, 10/02/2001, but not as exciting as one with only two numbers. Plus we can't make a triple palendrome out of it either including the time.
