Just found out that Spike Milligan died this morning. A sad loss, he was a true comic genius, and one of the few truly original comedy writers.

Yeah, a sad thing indeed, I only foud out a little earlier.
He had a good life, all 80-something years of it, he will be missed greatly.

Now that is really a tragedy.

Very sad news....Spike was always my favourite Goon, anybody read 'Puckoon'? One of the few books ever to make me laugh out loud.

A true comic genius, he'll be sadly missed.

I, for one, will be walking backwards for Christmas this year. :(

83 years old. Here's a link to a webpage where (with the aid of Windows Find, since it's buried in a lot of other stuff) you can download and listen to Milligan's holiday hit, I'm Walking Backwards for Christmas: http://www.mono211.com/drfetid/

And this is a website that lets you play through close to a dozen Goon Shows as they first aired, back in the fifties: http://www.members.home.com/lhennig/
