Today in the european handball championship' semi finals in Sweden... anyone going to watch while Iceland finally beats the swedish team... :D
Well they have surprised everyone, the icelandic team I mean, and still havn't lost a game, and this is the furthest they have ever been in any championship. But then again they have always lost to sweden in the past so I have a little hope...
Will the game starts in 10 minutes so we'll know in about 90 minutes

I know handball's huge in Europe, we don't hear much about it in OZ. :( I used to play it in my final year of high school, when I wasn't playing basketball, rugby, or cricket. :D

Let us know how it turns out.

<font color="gold">I am not a big fan of Handball myself, but I know that Norway has the best handballteam in the whole World (atleast the females). They have won many, many times, both EC and WC.
Now, I do not know who will win the game tonight, but since you started the thread, Jorath, I think I'll place my bet on Iceland.</font>

Well, as you might have guessed Sweden won, 33-22...briliant! :D
Staffan Olsson spanked the Icelandic goal-keeper, while the swedish goal-keepers (Peter Gentzel, Tomas Svensson) were at thier peak..
This is huge!
In the finals we'll meet either Denmark or Germany..they won't stand a chance :D
Sweden has been in EM-finals 4 times out of 5 possible and won gold three times; 1994, 1998 and 2000, so Exxon you can stuff that about the norweigans being best ;) [img]tongue.gif[/img]
Much of the success is because of Bengt Johansson, the swedish coach..
He is the best we've had in ages..
