There has been a trend here at IW recently on putting pornographic links to other sites in the threads, or make inappropriate, pornographic-type comments to other members here I just deleted a recent thread (the "New IW" thread) because of something like this.

Some of you may think this is funny, but it is not. We have underage members here whose parents will hit the roof if they see this kind of stuff. We have also just recently removed a regular member here for this kind of behavior.

Everyone, this MUST STOP. It will not be tolerated here in any form. Any further topics with links to pornographic or otherwise inappropriate material will be immediately deleted and the poster reprimanded, and, possibly, losing his or her membership here at IW.

Here here, I wholeheartedly agree. Kids get enough of that on their own without any encouragement. We need to keep IW a bastion of purity amongst the rest of the internet. I dont even like posts with swearing in them because its completely uncalled for.

Occasional swearing is ok, as long as it's not overly done (and we certainly don't want to strive for that by any means.) But there has been far too many examples recently of inappropriate material being included in posts or linked to from posts, and that is what has to stop here and now.

the whole bastion of purity thing was me being overly dramatic for the sake of comedy (that went over well), but yes I completely agree, there no reason for any pornographic material here. I dont check out all the threads, but to be honest Im fairly surprised that anyone here would do something like that, I like IW because we have a good group of people here, and lets hope it always stays that way

I can't believe that Saz had to post this message. Everyone should have been aware that pornography (cartoonish or otherwise) is against our Terms of Service.

Arvon: Your jokes aren't a problem...I'd have said something long before. Please don't stop that.

Guys, don't go all cocked to the other extreme. I'm talking about blatant PORNO references...either visual or text.

Thanks for posting this Saz. I'd like to add that the title of this thread, i.e. "Porno" links, means TEXT as well. Crude language, etc. Most people here know that blatent excessive crude words are not allowed on this forum, so to post a link containing same is the same thing. There are MANY young members here registered, and who knows how many unregistered lurkers there are, we just gotta keep it clean! I mean, a curse word here or there in a particular post just for emphasis is no big deal, but things like links anyone can click on, well..., you gotta take care with what you show the "world" so to speak..!

I mean I just booted some guy off for posting porno link at the other message board... but I didn't think anyone would try it at THIS FORUM!!!
