I downloaded The Darkest Day, just wanted to know if it's worth the install or not? Is this thing gonna screw my PC up or anything?

I found it to be painfully unbalanced and poorly debugged.

It won't mess up your PC, but you should re-install BG2 to get rid of it.

Darkest Day is a mod?

I thought it was a dreadful mod. There was very little new content, as most of the "new" locations were ripped from existing SoA, IWD and BG1 locations and just cut and pasted about a bit. It was absolutely full of bugs and overflowing with spelling mistakes which made the whole thing feel really tachy to me, and the vast majority of the new kits had further advantages/disadvantages that weren't even mentioned in the kit descriptions.

Two thumbs down from me

The only good BG2 mod I've played is Ascension, since that has been made by a Bioware employee, and contains many dialogues and battle changes that I think should have been included in the original version of ToB.

Will Ascension work with just SoA? I figured Darkest Day would be kinda trashy.

Unfortunately, Ascension will only work with ToB as it's a ToB mod.

What other good mods are there for just SoA? Is ToB worth the money?

ToB is 100% worth it! No other mods come close.

I found Epic Endeavours but I haven't seen anyone talk about that one much. Guess I'll get around to trying it out later on.
