I could imagine mass hp's, mass resis gear +zerk rage immune to alot of annoying spellz?

Yes, it's a very good class to solo with. One of the main annoyances soloing with other warriors (appart from the berserker) is that if you are mazed, the game ends and barbarians rage protects you from maze making life much easier. My level 40 Barbarian had 309 HP, 318 whilst enraged, and with the right equipment had 40% resistance to phsical damage, %55 resistance to missile damage and %90 resistance to crushing damage all the time. This was increased by using Hardiness (a high level ability from ToB) by a further %40 so even on insane diff. enemies struggled to take him down. Immunity to backstab also rocks.

whit a barbarian you can´t use all types armors right?

Yes, they can't wear anything heavier than splint mail (so no plate or full plate) which makes life harder to start with, but there are some awesome armours in SoA and ToB that take the form of chain/splint/dragon scale that they can wear, so they will eventually be well armoured regardless.

so barbarians can wear dragon scale? hmmmm, might have to give them a try then.

They cannot wear dragon plate, but can wear dragon scale, so they can't use:

Red Dragon Plate
Blue Dragon Plate (ToB)
Ankheg Plate

But can use:

Shadow Dragon Scale
White Dragon Scale (ToB)

Which are both very good anyway.

soloing a straight warrior is quite satisfying, since you slay hundreds of mages and magical creatures without the use of magic. (except rings, cloaks, etc) I have soloed a monk, but never a barbarian. i think i will try that next, once my assassin finishes (assassins are fun, too... ack! hide! whew! sneaksneaksneak! STAB!! Critical! 152 damage! Yay!)
