Okay, I've played thru the game close to 15 times and have never been to the shaugin city. This is making me mad because I never get to finish the Equalizer or get that cloak. Will someone help me to get to this city!!??!!

Once you get out of Spellhold, Saemon offers to take you on his ship. Did you do that? If you kill him or tell him to go away, you go straight to the Underdark, and don't get a chance to get there.

When exiting spellhold, take up Saemon Havarian's offer for a free ride. don't use the portal.

BTW, the cloak of mirroring can be found in the fish city, and it's one of the best items in the game, IMHO...can't believe you've played that many times and never been though there...

By equalizer, I believe you mean "wave" the equalizer parts are not in the city, but the secound part to the wave is. ;)

If you played ToB, when you get into the Sendai enclave you'll see a Beholder that speaks with you like he already know you, if you are smart enough you can release him in the fish city from the drow (the drow summons him to guard a chest, if you say to him that the drow ordered him to guard the chest and not what was inside you can take it without have to fihting him).

and you will find the beolder again in ToB

Minor correction. It is, 'if you are wise enough'.

If your WIS is 13+, you can talk him into letting you take the item inside the chest. Drinking a Potion of Insight helps too, if your WIS stat is too low. ;)

yes, there you'll figth a drow commander or something like that, the drow will make you an offer, you figth alone with it and the one that lose the combat will lose his friends, or should companions, then the beholder will be the juri and after you defeat her her companions die, after the beholder will talk with you like he already knows you, i think that he is a nice fellow.
