Could someone please tell me how to get screenshots from games? I'd be very grateful...
|
When the game is running, hit either PRINTSCREEN or ALT+PRINTSCREEN
then alt-tab out of the game and open up a graphic editor (like MS Paint or Photoshop, etc.) and paste the image in. It saves to the Windows clipboard as a bitmap. Cheers, -Sazerac |
Some games have screenshot capabilities built in, but for those that don't, you can run the game in a window and if you hit ctrl+alt+prt screen, it will copy a screenshot to your clipboard and you can then paste it into a graphics program.

Hypersnap-DX is quite good. http://www.hyperionics.com

Thanks! This should help me immensely with a project I'm doing for school! (Fancy computer game related classes are great...)

Hmm... is there a way to use Hypersnap DX to get a screenshot without having to have the program running in the foreground? (in a situation such as if I'm playing an in-game movie and I want to get a screenshot... the hotkeys don't seem to work for this...)

I use a program called snagit which captures anything on my screen. You can get it on the link below and give it a try if you're still having trouble.
