I'm trying to find out what the magnetic layers in hard disks, and high capacity storage tapes are made of, but this information seems to be very hard to find. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks, but I didn't have much luck there either. I think I've got enough material from IBM site now, it was very well hidden.
