The Liberal Party/National Party coaltion romped home for their third term.

The minority party "The Greens" improved their share!

Labor, though governing every state, remain in opposition.

The racist "One Nation" look decimated.

The Australian Democrats, led by a female GenXer remained static.

Anyone who hates Liberal should possibly use the <a href="http://www.rathergood.com/swearotron.html" target="_blank">
swearatron</a> to relieve stress.

I think all the talk for 3 years of ROLLBACK was seen by the electorate as the king of all fizzers (all that talk, then removes about 2% of it) - that proved to a lot of people that he was really for it, just like he was when he was in government.

It came down to the mild concservatives V the mild conservatives, and the world's biggest yawn. Not even any dimpled or pregnant chads to spice things up :D .

About the only thing of interest for the election I found was that our local polling station ( a child minding centre ) had a sausage sizzle and a cake stall. Rum truffles and snags for breakfast.

Otherwise, ho, hum, at least it kept the sports news off the front page ....
