I'm a bit confused on http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/spam1.gifing.

I thought this was a legit question. I looked at the previous listings on the subject, and they didn't answer my question. Should I have responded to that post with my question? Is that what spamming is?

The only problem responding to an old post like that with 5 pages of responses completely unrelated to the topic, is that after returning it to the top of the list with a new question, it drops like a rock because people think, "I've seen that".

Be Spam Free: Please don't post the same material to multiple areas. posts like "me too" and 'no topic' posts are not allowed-- it's a waste of space. If you have a website, and would like to share it with others, that is fine, just don't post it to ALL the forums-it will be deleted. You may also put a URL in your Signature. Posting a message to Test your sig is fine, but you only need to use up 1 post. You can edit your 1 post as many times as you wish. there is no need to post 10 messages testing your sig. Also,
once you get it fixed, Delete the test post. (You can delete your own posts).

Also, if you see a thread/post deleted or closed, please do not post a new message asking where the thread/post went or why it was closed. These types of questions can be answered by emailing your webmaster.

It's okay, Ronn...things are a little unclear on that. Ziroc discourages posts about one's rank, because things got WAAAAY out of hand with that earlier in the year. Anyway, now you know.
