Daschle's beef jerky draws bomb squad! Washington- Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle's taste for beef jerky scared his security guards into calling a bomb squad; Daschle's monthly supply of jerky arrived at his Washington house early one morning last week, and the Capitol Police officers keeping watch outside were alarmed by the package label: "Jerk Of The Month", the South Dakota Democrat told reporters Thursday. The guards called a bomb squad, complete with dogs and an X-ray machine. The squad, after opening the package, discovered it contained no more than that month's flavor of cured beef. "The guards were embarrassed," daschle recalled. -From wire reports. Mark http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif |
