My wife heard the last piece on the radio this morning, saying that Bin Laden has requested that any Muslims in the world should declare holy war on all Americans and Jewish.
His speech told them to kill us whenever possible...?

Has anyone heard a better or more complete story than this?
Is there a way that we can read what was actually said, rather than para-phrasing and second or third hand quoting?</font>

Just my guess, but I doubt we'll ever hear directly from Bin Laden. I think the best we'll get is "an Afghan official with close ties to Bin Laden stated . . . "

I havent heard anything yet larry, but I am sure Father Bronze is right now this one.

I haven't heard this morning appeal to war by Bin Ladden. But he's been calling a Jihad to kill any Americans (regardless if civilians or military) for a few years now. I wouldn't be too worried about it now!

I think this was the fax which was received by the media in Pakistan and which was purported to be from Osama bin Liner:

'OSAMA BIN LADEN called on Pakistanis yesterday to fight any assault on Afghanistan by what he called “crusader Americans”.
In a typewritten statement sent to al-Jazeereh, a Qatari satellite television station widely watched throughout the Middle East, he said: “We incite our brothers in Pakistan to deter with all their capabilities the American crusaders from invading Pakistan and Afghanistan.”

The letter spearheaded a public relations offensive by the Taleban regime in Afghanistan to counter US attempts to blame bin Laden and his al-Qaeda organisation for the September 11 attacks. Bin Laden said he prayed to God that the Pakistani dead would be martyrs.

The statement finished with the greeting: “Your brother in Islam” and the name “Osama bin Muhammad bin Laden”. Underneath it is signed “Osama Muhammad”.'

I never doubted your credibility. I know technology has come a long way in keeping people informed of daily events, but I still get frustrated when I can't find the most current news.

I remember a few months back when there was a wolf sighting in Stockholm. I heard it on the radio and couldn't find anything in print to veryfy it.

It's nice to know that with so many people from so many different spots in the world that someone can find "the scoop."
