I think it might have something to do with the fake accounts that were opened recently.

Some people have been creating fake accounts not only here, but on other forums. Now in some cases they're just to fool around(as in yours truly's case http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/tongue.gif) but in others they're intentional, malicious.
Either way, it's easy to see if anybody has created mutliple accounts by comparing IP addresses. Just compare this one with Mel's IP. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
BTW If you're smart, of course you'll have a decent firewall on your PC, and shouldn't worry overmuch about your IP showing. http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...iles/smile.gif
