Just played an interesting demo of a game called Anachronox - sort of an CRPG cross between Final Fantasy with a bit of Blade Runner thrown in ..
I would be interested to hear the opinions of anyone who is playing the full game - Whats it like? Is it worth buying? Pangur Ban http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/cat.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...itty3_anim.gifhttp://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/noncgi/smiles/cat.gif |

I played it.
It was a lot of fun. The graphics are a bit blocky (it uses the Quake II engine), some of the battles were a bit easy, and the plot is fairly linear. The game is different in that your character engages in several arcade style games as he moves his way through the adventure. The game designers really created the game with a bit of humor. My favorite part was when a particularly demanding NPC admitted being overdramatic. The plot has some nice surprises and a bit of mystery. I played for almost 3 months until I finished it. I haven't played a lot of RPG games, but I would rate it better than IWD, but not as good as BG2. e-mail me if you want more info. ------------------ http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...les/bronze.gif Most Subtle Official Straightman of the Laughing Hyenas -- Grammarian Brigade.
